PEKANBARU - Riau Province Plantation Service has released the price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) for plasma partnership palm oil in Riau for the period 23-29 April 2025.

Dr. Defris Hatmaja, Head of Disbun Riau's Processing and Marketing Division, noted that the 9-year-old plant age group saw the most price rise during this time, increasing by Rp11.06 per kilogram, or 0.31%, compared to the previous period.

“As a result, the FFB purchase price for partnered farmers for the upcoming week is set at Rp3,635.82 per kilogram. Meanwhile, the shell price is set at Rp19.89 per kilogram,” he explained.

For this pricing period, the K index used is the one projected for the upcoming month, which is 92.54%. This week, the price of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) decreased by Rp28.10, while the price of palm kernel increased by Rp14.94 compared to last week.

Defris also noted that several Palm Oil Mills (PKS) did not conduct any sales during this period. In accordance with Article 8 of the Ministry of Agriculture Regulation No. 01 of 2018, when this occurs, the average price from the pricing team is used. However, if validation category 2 is triggered, the average price from is applied instead.

“The KPBN average price for CPO this period is Rp14,190.50 per kilogram, while the KPBN average price for kernel is Rp13,922.00 per kilogram,” he added.

The increase in FFB prices this week is largely attributed to the rise in kernel prices. According to Defris, the improvement in the pricing governance system reflects the serious efforts made by all stakeholders, with full support from the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor's Office.

“This collective commitment will ultimately contribute to increasing farmers’ income, which in turn supports broader community welfare,” he emphasized.

The detailed price determination for Plasma Partnership Palm Oil FFB in Riau Province (Decree No. 13) for the period April 23–29, 2025, based on plant age, is as follows:

-Age 3 Years (Rp 2,810.17);

-Age 4 Years (Rp 3,178.71);

- Age 5 Years (Rp 3,366.69);

- Age 6 Years (Rp 3,512.18);

- Age 7 Years (Rp 3,588.51);

- Age 8 Years (Rp 3,630.78);

- Age 9 Years (Rp 3,635.82);

- Age 10-20 Years (Rp 3,617.13);

- Age 21 (Rp 3,561.40);

- Age 22 (Rp 3,508.26);

- Age 23 (Rp 3,451.21);

- Age 24 (Rp 3,388.81);

- Age 25 (Rp 3,318.49).
