PEKANBARU - The Riau Provincial Plantation Office has released the fresh fruit bunch (FFB) palm oil price for independent partnership smallholders in Riau for the period of December 10–16, 2025.
The Head of Processing and Marketing at the Riau Plantation Office, Dr. Defris Hatmaja, stated that the highest price increase occurred in the 9-year plant age group, rising by IDR 54.64 per kilogram, or 1.61 percent from last week’s price.
“As a result, the purchase price of FFB for farmers for the upcoming week increases to IDR 3,456.10 per kilogram, with shell prices at IDR 27.33 per kilogram,” said Dr. Defris Hatmaja on Wednesday (10/12/2025).
For this period, the K index used is the one-month-ahead K index, which is 92.93 percent. The selling price of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) this week increased by IDR 309.08 per kilogram from last week, while the selling price of kernel decreased by IDR 148.83 per kilogram.
Several Palm Oil Mills (PKS) did not make any sales. Based on the Ministry of Agriculture Regulation Number 01 of 2018 Article 8, the CPO and kernel prices used are the team’s average price. If CPO or kernel prices are subject to level-2 validation, the price used is the average from the National Logistics Agency Main Office (KPBN).
The average CPO price from KPBN for this period is IDR 14,346.00 per kilogram, and the average kernel price is IDR 11,069.00 per kilogram.
According to Defris, this week’s price increase is mainly driven by higher CPO prices. Meanwhile, the improvement in the pricing system reflects a serious effort from all stakeholders, supported by the Riau Provincial Government and the Riau High Prosecutor’s Office.
“This shared commitment will ultimately increase farmers’ income, which will contribute to improving community welfare,” he concluded.
