KUANSING - Suhardiman Amby, Regent of Kuantan Singingi Regency, was involved in a traffic accident while en route to Pekanbaru City on Sunday afternoon, April 13, 2025. The car carrying Suhardiman collided with a colt diesel truck on the Teluk Kuantan – Pekanbaru highway, precisely around Simpang Handoyo, Jake Village.

According to circulating videos, significant damage can be seen on the front right side of the vehicle carrying the Kuantan Singingi Regent. Meanwhile, the colt diesel truck also sustained damage to its front left side.

Shortly after the incident, Regent Suhardiman Amby released a short video in which he stated that he was in good condition and unharmed.

“Alhamdulillah, all of us passengers are safe and in good condition. This is all thanks to the prayers of the people of Kuantan Singingi,” said Suhardiman Amby in the video, where he is seen in his office accompanied by the Vice Regent of Kuantan Singingi, Muklisin, the Acting Regional Secretary, Fahdiansyah, and several others.

In the same video, Regent Suhardiman Amby added that misfortunes can happen to anyone, at any time. He therefore urged all residents of Kuantan Singingi Regency to remain cautious and alert, especially when driving on the road.
